THE 24/7 PROJECT
A Tribute to Humanity

24 hours in 24 Portraits

In a world that is constantly in motion, where billions of people are writing their individual stories, photographer Marc Schäfer has initiated the "24/7 Project," a tribute to humanity.
• Every hour, a person working at that time is portrayed in a city.
• These portraits are not just visual representations, but "time windows" through which the protagonists can be seen in their authenticity at their respective workplaces.
• The gaze of the people is neutral and directed straight at the camera. It suggests to the viewer, "This is who I am and this is what I do."

The goal is to document the diversity and humanity worldwide and to show that people, despite all differences, are capable of coming together.
18:00 Uhr | Günther Weilharter: The Tunnel Builder
19:00 Uhr | Josefin Feiler:The Opera Singer

"Every person, regardless of profession and background, contributes to the great web of humanity through their daily actions."

The project is a response to the question: What happens when we make the stories of all these people visible and collectively create a positive image of humanity?

Exhibition

• Upon completion, a "24/7" route will be exhibited locally for the respective city.
• The images will be displayed chronologically in a circular route, allowing visitors to walk through and experience a day with its 24 hours.
• Later, a larger exhibition is planned where multiple cities will be presented simultaneously. This creates the opportunity to compare cities worldwide and see how they present themselves in terms of people and professions at various times.

The vision is to convey: Around the clock, we are a vast, globally connected team working together. Each individual is important and contributes to this collective representation of humanity.
